Junior Sheep Judging

Calling all budding Merino sheep judges wanting to try their hand at sheep judging. No prior experience necessary. Enter in the Junior Sheep Judging today and join in for a whole lot of fun! All are welcome!

Junior Meat Sheep Judging

Up to 15 years

16 – 25 years

For the first time the Campbell Town Show will be running the Junior Meat Sheep Judging. All those wanting to show test their skills are welcome to enter, no prior experience necessary.

Rules

Each competitor is given a set amount of time to judge, he or she will then take part in the oral judging where he or she will present their decision of placements and reasoning to the over judges.

Entries are open up until 9am Saturday of the Campbell Town Show. It is FREE to enter.

The following rules are an extract from the National ASA Merino Sheep Judging Championship Agricultural Shows Australia Handbook

To be eligible to complete in the National Championship each Competitor must have lived, worked or attended school within a State/ Territory for at least three (3) months and can only represent one State/Territory at a National Championship in any given year.

Competitors must be fifteen (15) and under twenty five (25) years of age on 1st May in the year of the Competitor’s State Final.
